I am happily married to my husband Tom who knew I had MS before he proposed. We have a son whose name is John. We live in our own Craftsman style home in historic Lakeland, Fl. Our neighborhood is called Dixie Land. We are close to the gulf and 3 hours from the Atlantic. My sister Malinda who is 46 years old also has MS. She was first diagnosed in 1984 but was symptomatic years before. My first symptoms began in 1978 with optic neuritis. Was in my left eye but is fine now. For two years I have had tingling in both legs and sharp pain occasionally.
