- I am a 28 year old single mother with two sons. They are 13 and 9. I have two bulldogs. One is 3 and the other one is 13. I was DX with RRMS about a year ago. My initial symptoms were right side weakness in my leg,arm, and hand. What brought me to the hospital is when I was writing and the pen fell right out of my hand. It was a scary experience. I've been on Avonex since I was diagnosed and I've been doing ok with it. It took a little bit to get adjusted to. I just recently did the MS Walk and raised $1500. It felt awesome to participate in that event. I was so happy I was able to walk.
