My motto is: Live life to the fullest! Everyone has some sort of disease and we were the lucky ones to get MS, (a non-fatal disease that strips your energy away). Boo Hoo, get over it and get on with your life. Quit feeling sorry for yourself. I found out at age 20 that I had MS and I went blind in my right eye but I still went on to get married and have 2 beautiful children and attended college for 16 years and now I have 5 degrees and working on my doctorate. I am now in the process of writing Christian Children Recipe Books. I Love the Lord & I love my life!
What more can I say that I haven't already said in my short bio. I am now 44 years old and living with MS of the brain. Yes, I have hundreds of lesions, too numerous to count, but my neurologist told me to get on with my life. Life is too short as it is and you need to start living it now. My 2 children are grown and attending the University of Florida (GO GATORS) so I cried for a day and bought myself a puppy. She's an 9 lb purebread Maltese who adores me. Her name is KiKi. Sure there are days when I don't want to get out of bed, but you have to. I joined a sand volleyball league that keeps me on my feet. OK, maybe I'm not the most valuable player on the team, okay, I'm the worst but let me tell you, when you serve that ball over the net and everyone claps, you feel good! Maybe I'm not the best writer out there but when I sell my first book, it will be on the best seller list in my family. Do things for you! Don't worry about what other people will say. Yes, MS will prevent you from accomplishing your goals in life but it doesn't have to stop your dreams from coming true. I started my life out as a Junior Olympic Gymnast at age 15, cheerleader at Florida State University, and obtained 5 degrees but I had to alter my dreams. Now I would like to become a Christian writer, finish my Doctorate which is a semester long course labeled "Life" and be the best wife and mother I can be! I pray every night, that alone gives me hope for the future! May God Bless You & Keep You Safe, Nancy Reed
