I am still inputting my information on PLM, so my profile is incomplete.
I have been an AIDS and gay rights activist in Kansas City since the 1980s.
My story, labs, diagnoses, medical history and treatments are published at http://resistanceisfruitful.com.
I am a moderator at the forums at Questioning AIDS, a website that embraces open dialogue about HIV and AIDS.
My personal goal is to improve my health and reduce my risk for disease in a way that emphasizes good health and minimizes my risk for adverse reactions by reducing, if not eliminating my reliance on pharmaceutical drugs
I've tested poz in December, 1998, when I volunteered for the Vaxgen vaccine trial. I had tested negative a few months prior.
I was a leader of the AIDS community in KC for years prior to seroconversion and founded the activist group ACT UP/KC. I demonstrated at the FDA to get drugs into bodies.
Those drugs proved intolerable for me. I have been living without ARVs since 2003 and without pharma drugs since 2007. I am committed to questioning AIDS and finding non-lethal alternatives to treat immune dysfunction.
I am not here to argue or debate, or to tell anyone else what they should do or how to think. I support PLM's goals of gathering and sharing our common experiences, information and data.
