- I moved from Florida to NC after being away 25yrs. I lost my partner of 20yrs in 2007, he succumbed to AIDS, as a positive person myself and his primary caregiver the last year of his life, his suffering and his many hospitalizations did take a toll on my health as well, my T-Cell count was below 100 (94) and my viral load was 100000. I refuse to take meds that affect my physical appearance, a choice many take as a vanity issue, but I have always participated in research studies and have been through a lot of meds.
