My onset of Fibromyalgia came about after giving birth to my first daughter, Jalynn. It took me a year and a half of misdiagnosis' and several different doctors before I finally being diagnosed. I was so relieved to finally have a name for all my symptoms. Not many doctors took me serious when I came to them with widespread body pain at the age of 18. They thought I was trying to get pain medication. That was the most frustrating time of my life. It took a lot of coaxing from friends and family to get me to the next doctors appointment. I was ready to give up on a diagnosis, I was tired of all the looks from doctors, the disappointment, being told that it was all in my head. Finally, I went to a doctor who took all my symptoms seriously, a rheumotologist. I explained how I've been feeling, the pain, lack of concentration, the fatigue, trouble sleeping, everything. I was diagnosed within under 5 minutes.
