About Me
I am an associate professor of medicine at the University of Iowa. I was diagnosed with MS in 2000. I began copaxone and never had a relapse of acute MS symptoms. But by 2003 it was apparent I had worsening MS. My disease was reclassified as secondary progressive MS. I have studied the literature - and in 2004 I began tinkering with my treatment. Now I rely on nutrition and neuromuscular electrical stimulation to restore my strength. It has been a remarkable journey back to health.
