About Me I'm 64 years old & was diagnosed with PLS 6 years ago. My speech strarted gretting slurred. After numerous tests, I was diagnosed with PLS 6 months later. I go to The Univ. of Minnesota ALS clinic every 6 months. My legs began to stiffen about a year ago. I now use a cane in the house, a walker for outside and an electric scooter for longer walks. I retired from a major chemical company at the end of 1999 in perfect health. I've been active all my life (sports, exercising, etc.), so now it is a change for me to not being able to do things I used to do. |
