- Hi, when I was 16 yrs old, I was in a near fatal car accident that left me with brain damage. I was in a coma for 3 months, and had to go through complete rehabilitaion to re-learn everything over as a baby would. As a result, years later, I had to depend on anti-depressants, and a phsyciatrist. I wanted to end my life,because I had to get used to the person I now was.
