About Me
I am writing this on behalf of my mother, Donna. She was just officially diagnosed yesterday, May 31, 2007. But we had an idea since late April 2007 since her first visit with a Neurologist. Currently she has difficulty swallowing and slurred speech and she has muscle atrophy in between her thumb and her index finger. Other than that she is fit as a fiddle. I did want to share that we have met an ALS survivor of 13 years. He is an inspiration and gives us hope. But we are certainly aware and prepared for a battle of a life time.
