Hi, I'm new to this site. It looks great & I hope to share a lot of useful information. I was diagnosed with "atypical" parkinsons when I was 49 yrs. old. I noticed a constant tremor in my right thumb. ---I live in New York City with my husband , two daughters (now 25 & 21) & our dog. I am 61 yrs. old now & facing a decision about DBS.---Dr. Mark Forest Gordon (LIJ) was my specialist from the begining,until he left in 2005. I've been searching for someone with his kind heart, compassion, etc. ever since. I'm now faced with deciding on DBS. I think my family needs counseling - they resist
