- I saw a tremor in my left thumb and immediately knew I had Parkinson's. I have seen it before as I am a speech-language pathologist. i went to the doctor and they thought I was crazy. I went to my psychiatrist and he said I had Parkinson's. Finally, I saw a neurologist to have the diagnosis confirmed. i am 63 and work full time with young children. I'm married and have one grandchild who is 14 and starting high school.
