About Me Hello, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 40. My mother was diagnosed at the age of 44 and she died at the age of 55 due to having a stroke. I have four children ages 11 - 17. My initial reaction to the diagnosis was utter unbelief and sadness. I was devastated. After seeking counseling and pretty much making up my mind that I was not going to succumb to this disease, I am living a beautiful and peace filled life. I have begun giving talks to people in the hopes of helping others who have been diagnosed with long term illnesses. |
