I'm 53 years old, look younger, at least on the outside. I have been fighting this monster for over 20 years now. My only weapon against it which I have any real control of is Exercise. I do a lot of it. With Physical Therapy and a Personal Trainer, I'm working out 6 days a week and am in the best shape of my life!
While I still look very fit, after 23 years with PD, it has certainly taken its toll on me. Most of the day I am either in the "off" state (frozen, unable to move hardly at all, masked facial expression, low soft voice, very tired and weak,) or "on" but extremely dyskinetic.
