- My name is Debra, I'm 55. I was diagnoised with Parkinson's Disease in 2006. I developed a tremor in my left hand and started noticing my left leg acting funny which caused me to limp. I did think it real strange that the symptoms developed very suddenly. I saw two neurosurgeons and two neurologist before I was finally diagnosed with parkinson's. I eventually had to quit my job because of the difficulty I was having at work. I struggled in the beginning adjusting to the different PD meds, and i seem to be doing ok just on the sinemet.
