About Me 60yr old British female, farmer's wife & mother of 2 adult sons. Ex-headteacher 2 special schools (physical disability), SEN advisor & goverment consultant. PD probably due to organo-phosphate poisoning 1970s. Busy in local community & voluntary work. Carer for 94 yr old mother-in-law. Happy & healthy apart from PD related symptoms. Fantastic improvement since starting acupuncture - now down to 1 hour monthly. Lyrica caused huge rapid weight gain, so tried Amitriptyline. I was more mobile & not drowsy in the day. Now trying Orphenedrine, & I feel almost 'normal' - no pain, little spasm. |
