- 61yr old British female, farmer's wife & mother of 2 adult sons. Ex-headteacher 2 special schools (physical disability), SEN advisor & goverment consultant. PD probably due to organo-phosphate poisoning 1970s. Busy in local community & voluntary work. Happy & healthy apart from PD related symptoms. Fantastic improvement since starting acupuncture - now down to 1 hour monthly. Recently trying Orphenedrine, & I feel almost 'normal' - no pain, little spasm. Missed most treatments for 18 months nursing my mother-in-law who wished to die @ home.Screened for the Cogane trial didn't meet criteria.
