I am a 56 year old mom, wife and recently retired Dir. of Religious education at a Catholic parish. I never expected to be diagnosed with MS, but in hindsight, it was there in many ways. My eyes would blur, my foot would get numb and weird, man!!! I was tired. Being retired does give me a less scheduled life and more time to take care of me. My children are grown and at last my house is clean. I like to cook, I need to stay connected with people. My hubby is getting ready to retire. The weather makes me hurt. Pain is hard to describe to those who don't have MS. It is always there for me.
