I am 69 years of age, worked for TRANS WORLD AIRLINES in ST.LOUIS for 32yrs and AMERICAN for one yr before I had to retire because of PLS, My spouse BARBARA and i just had our 30 yr anniversary on TAX day, Have 9 children(none together) 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandkids. Put 11,000 miles on our RV motorhome last year. Do to fuel costs that wont happen this year. JOHN B.

I was told all VETS with ALS were automatically eligible for full VA benefits, Was even interviewed on local TV. Am still trying to get NEURO to verify my change in DIAG ( getting worse at rapid pace! Latest JOHN HOPKINS research paper states that PLS is the rarest type of ALS. UPDATE- I filed for VA benefits using PVA rep waiting for evaluation from VA as to eligibility status, Will post when status is determined. Spent most AUGUST 2008 on trip in RV with SPOUSE and son MATT traveling out WEST visiting NATIONAL PARKS and RELATIVES. Making plans for 2009 trips.
