My Maternal Grandmother and Mother, both deceased, had PD. My oldest Sister, who is 76, was diagnosed 5 years ago. and, my Sister-in-law believes that my oldest Brother, who is 68, has PD, but he refuses to go to the Dr. Due to this history, I was not at all surprised at my own diagnosis. However, I have switched to a Movement Disorder Specialist, and she says that I am A-Typical. I will be attending a Symposium, put on by my local Parkinson's Society, on April 20th, and one of the topics to be presented will be Atypical PD.
