My first symptom was right foot drop around 12/2004 Three neurologists, multiple EMG/NCS, MRIs, CTs,lab studies later, there was still no diagnosis. I finally went to UCLA on 9/11/2006 and got the diagnosis. To date, I am still working, but now using a manual wheelchair or a cane. I used to be very active, hiking and skiing I miss the most. I have a very wonderful wife, June, who is incredibly supportive. I have been a clinical pharmacist since 1980, so I am constantly reviewing the literature for promising new ideas. I pray that we all will benefit from this and other new therapies soon.
