Surviving thirty years of abuse isn't something to be ignored, which i tried to do. Facing it in superficial ways in the past only worked for so long, but facing yourself is ultimately the only way to really work towards being able to move towards the future is what i'm learning now. My ultimate trial i suppose you could say. While being a somewhat social person and able to talk about anything. I've never developed socialization skills of any kind on any level beyond professional really. I was never encouraged to make friends growing up or get close to anyone, let alone trust someone.
