I'm a 38 year old male.I'm married with a teenage boy.I'm on disability.I volunteer one day a week at the local library.I finally feel(after 4 years) that I'm getting a handle on my version of this rodeo. Now that is not to say I don't get bucked off from time to time but I'm still gettin back on.
I was dx in 2007 but I believe I had it for a year or two before. My continuing symptoms that won't go away but only vary from day to day are, weakness, uncordination and numbness on the right side of my body.Fatigue and a diffuse full body pain(ache)of varying degree is my daily companion.I get foot drop on rt side that worstens with walking.Heat wipes me out.Car rides(vibrations) of longer than a half hour or so kick my l'hermetts into high gear.I also deal with depressive episodes, usually when my meds are off or when switching.Cognitive fogginess is less now since I stopped Rebif but I get the poor memory/searching for words thing quite often.
I'm not impressed with Drs anymore as everything I take or do to try to improve my lot in life I had to figure out myself.
This site and others like it have helped immeasurably tho. They make me feel not so alone in this and made me realize I'm not as crazy as I thought I was,at least no crazier Than I was before my Dx.
