I was diagnosed with M.S. in 1990 when I was 46 y/o. My symptoms were weakness on my right side (leg and arm). It was diagnosed fairly quickly with an MRI. I took Avonex for 5 years. Then I was on a Rebif trial. Rebif caused worse headaches and depression than Avonex did so I finally made the connection of those symptoms to an interferon and switched to Copaxone. I've had few flare ups, the most serious was last June , 9 years after my last one. Now I'm 64, widowed and have one son who is 27 y/o. I'm an artist and I tutor young children in reading.
