I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, NY, where I currently reside. I retired from employment in 1996 due to MS. In 1996, I also completed my college education and my official divorce came through. I tutored as a volunteer at the East Harlem Tutorial Center from Ocotber 9, 1999 to January 9, 2012. The traveling finally caught up with me. On Nov 16, 2010, I was presented with an award for being a local hero by BankAmerica Neighborhood Program. Starting September 27, 2011, I am a volunteer tutor to two second graders twice a week at a local elementary school.
