My name is James and I am from Newfoundland which is on the east coast of Canada. I first noticed twitches in my arm muscles every now and then. It gradually worsen then spread to my stomach and legs. This was in the autumn of 2005. In February 2006 I saw a neurologist who had me get a DNA test and an EMG. He could not confirm that it was ALS. In September I was given a MRI after which I was told on October 18,2006 that I had ALS.I am still in good spirits and I don't intend to give up without a fight.I am still mobile but I find my right leg and left hand weaker than the other side.
