im Kat, I have studied many things now trying to find something i could do as work without pain, having in some cases to leave a course early as I was unable to cope, with pain.
I first started having problems with my hips as early as i can remember, although my mum said I always complained of sore legs, when I was about 10 I started having snapping hip due to hypermobility disorder, I asked and showed my mum what had been happening with my hips, from the outside you could hear it clunk and looked as if it was dislocating, but mum had the same problem with her hips, and she said thats nothing to worry about it happens to everyone (believing her hips were normal too!) it slowly got worse and started snapping every time i took a step with both hips, and started getting more and more painful, so mum took me to a specialist, where he had said i had severe snapping hip, so I had the first operation, on my right hip, then later had my left hip done, I had been told by the doctor it was the tightest ligament and muscle he had ever seen, I slowly recovered from the surgery and started to walk again, and although the snapping had stopped the pain was still getting worse, I went back to the specialist that then said that he had half expected i would need more surgery to lengthen further, so I had another operation on each hip. and again, got no better, i then saw another specialist who did several test and came to the conclusion there was nothing wrong at all to cause pain, and since then, years later, i still have had no improvement, and have found it worse again, with now pain pulsing all over my body. i was warned that the hypermobility may also get worse, and i now have snapping in multiple joints and now have weakness in my wrist. i was begging the doctors for help for years and eventually someone at my work asked why i was having health issues and i explained my symptoms and she said she had this condition and i went to the doctors and was finally diagnosed with fibro.
