I was a corporate travel agent and beautician. I then stopped working when I gave birth to my twins at 35. I was at home for them. I loved it. We were always going here or there never feeling like I can't because I have two little ones. Once they turned one I started working doing medical transcriptions from home. Then just before they turned two my life changed. My speech was slurred and I started falling then my arms and hands stopped working normal. Then the weight loss. Eating wasn't enjoyable it became exhausting. While this was happening I continued life as normal even went on what would be my last vacation with my family. It is now 8 months later I drive myself to have a G Tube in and the last food eaten was movie popcorn. They suggested Botox to help with saliva. Worst mistake EVER. After surgery I now have lost the ability to drive, walk on my own and harder to hold my head up. I know need help caring for my children and myself. December 5th send the kids for a sleep over while we go to a holiday party. Unfortunately that would be the last day me and the kids would sleep in our own beds. I ended up with a emergency tracheotomy. So now I have no voice and can no longer walk and am living away from my family at RIC for 3 months. To now living with my sisters family where I require 24 hour care and now have no movement. BUT I am alive and I get to still raise my children. It is just different.
