I started 2003 working as an RN. Within a year I became a patient. Now 7 yrs later, I have been referred to Mayo in MN by the University of IA Hospitals and Clinics (thought to be a cutting edge teaching hospital). I live about 150 miles west of Chicago, and now I can't find a doctor in my area who will be my primary care physician. My current PCD is worthless and only took over for the Dr. I had been seeing, and every Dr. I've seen hoping for a new PCD has said I have too much wrong with me, they have nothing to offer me, go to Mayo. Still leaves me doctorless at home.
