I have had ALS for 24 years, i still am able to walk, talk and use my arms, although i am weak in all areas. I take lots of vitamins, do tai chi and pray. I wear a neck brace sometimes because i get tension headaches from my neck muscles being weak. I am retired and 57years old. Have 8 grandkids 11, 8, twins 8, one 3 years old, and a 2 year old, one 18 months old, and 1 just born, have been using bipap 4 hours each day, and had my feeding tube put in on 9th of March 2010.

I am a person who refuses to give up no matter what, i will keep going not for myself but for my little grandchildren, yes it is hard to keep going, i think if you think you are going to die you will so i keep going.
