I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2001; when I was 20. The first time it happened i was in the shower, and i'll never forget waking up with my family looking down at me and only a towel to be covered by. Went through a lot of testing; and after 1 or 2 more seizures was told that my left hippocampus was smaller than my right and that was causing an electrical imbalance, which was causing the seizures. Since then I have had my share of bad wakeups in the hospital, but finally have got myself under control and quit the partying lifestyle that was not helping. I am now taking Tegretol and Keppra.
