 About Me
I am a 53 year-old MD (Family Physician) who noticed symptoms in my right hand in May 2004, quickly saw a neurologist and had tests and an MRI, and diagnosed myself with ALS by the end of the month. For several months no one else believed me (or wanted to), and so I had second opinions later that year confirming "probable" ALS in my right arm. It started in my right leg in May 2005 and so that is when it became "definite" ALS.
