I was born in London England raised in Derry Northern Ireland. I came to the U.S. in 1946. Lived in Brooklyn N.Y. and then Schenectady NY. Joined the Army in 1955. Got married in 1957 and have four children and now 6 grandchildren Lived for 30 years in Lake Charles La. and in 1989 moved to Eureka Springs Arkansas. My wife and I started a candle business in 1977. In the fall of 2003 my wife noticed my speech was slurred. In march of 04 my local doctor said he was thinking it was ALS. Sent me to a neurologist who sent me to Dr. Appel in Houston who conformed ALS. Now under a trial drug study.
