I found out in 2005 I am Bipolar 1 mixed. I have been put on alot of antidepressants. None of them seem to work past a few weeks. After 20 years of this the drs decided I was Bipolar. Then sent me to a P doc which did several mind games. At a long debate came up that I am Bipolar 1 mixed. I have had a long road trying different meds. But, seems I am on the right coctail now. I have 2 Boston Terriers and a boyfriend of 13 yrs., which seems to understand my medical problem now. I still have bouts of mania followed by depression but, they don't last as long.
