- I have depression with intense anxiety. Some days, I am fine. Other days, I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. Low serotonin, high adrenalin levels. Trazodone helps me sleep and get my S and A levels better adjusted. I never understood what I was experiencing when I was younger. I thought everyone felt like this. I am married with 3 kids and have a great life other than the depression and anxiety. My wife for some reason cannot understand this, though. She thinks that all depressed people need to just "be happy." She's a nurse, too. Glad she doesn't work in the psych ward!
