What is Entacapone?

Entacapone is an inhibitor of catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) and is indicated as an adjunct treatment for patients taking levodopa and carbidopa for Parkinson’s Disease who experience the signs and symptoms of end-of-dose “wearing-off”.
