What is Warfarin?
Warfarin is an anti-coagulant drug which prevents clotting . It can be used either to treat or prevent thromboses (clots) or embolism (spread of a clot). In ALS/MND it is most commonly used where long periods of time immobile in the same position might increase the risk of deep-vein thrombosis.
