What is Handicapped parking permit? A handicap/disabled parking permit (also known as a "Blue badge") allows the bearer to park in specially marked disabled parking spaces. This can be particularly helpful where mobility is a problem; disabled bays usually also have more space around the vehicle to allow the loading of wheelchairs.
