Elevated blood sugar (hyperglycemia) Report

Blood sugar levels may be elevated as a result of diabetes. Certain medications, notably steroids, increase glucose (sugar) production from the liver. As a result, use of these drugs may elevate blood sugar levels in non-diabetic patients and worsen symptoms in patients with preexisting diabetes.
