Diagnosis Summary

About Me I first noticed something was wrong in May 2000 when I was dragging my right foot very slightly, then my handwriting became smaller and it was tiring to write more than a few lines. My doctor said it might be Parkinsons. Three months later the consultant confirmed it. I tried to hide it from everyone and was in denial. Eventually my work began to suffer and my boss became suspicious so I had to come clean. My employers made arrangements for my early retirement at the end of 2004. I then deteriorated rapidly until I was prescribed Stalevo in Feb 2005. It is a wonderful drug and works very well. |
