What is Oxandrin?

Oxandrin® is a brand name for oxandrolone, an androgen, used to promote weight gain following surgery, infections, trauma and in some patients who fail to gain or maintain weight; to offset effect of corticosteroid therapy on protein; to relieve bone pain associated with osteoporosis.
