What is Nexium?

Nexium® is a brand name for the proton-pump inhibitor drug esomeprazole. It is used for treatment of gastrointestinal reflux disease; for duodenal and gastric ulcers; and for conditions associated with hypersecretion of gastric acid, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
