Hydroxyzine is a generic drug in two preparations, pamoate and hydrochloride salts, used to relieve itching caused by allergies and to control the nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions, including motion sickness; also used for anxiety and to treat the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.

- It may or may not affect the itch. Either way, you'll be too drowsy to care. I honestly don't think it lessens this particular itch, but I itch less while I'm knocked out on it.
