What is Estrogen derivatives? Estrogen is used to treat hot flashes and symptoms of menopause like vaginal dryness, itching, or burning, or to prevent osteoporosis. It is used to treat low levels of estrogen in certain conditions (eg, ovarian failure) and in some cases of breast and prostate cancer.
