What is Tegretol XR?

Tegretol®-XR is an extended release preparation of the drug carbamazepine. It is used for of seizure disorders and trigeminal neuralgia. Off label uses include treatment of resistant schizophrenia, alcohol withdrawal, restless leg syndrome and post-traumatic stress disorder.
