What is Insulin Regular?

Regular Insulin is used to treat type 1 diabetes; type 2 diabetes unresponsive to diet and/or oral hypoglycemics; as an adjunct to parenteral nutrition; and for diabetic ketoacidosis. Off label it is used for hyperkalemia.
