Dyskinesia refers to involuntary movements, similar to a tic or chorea. When it occurs after treatment with certain drugs, such as antipychotics, it is called tardive dyskinesia. Dyskinesia seen in Parkinson’s disease are usually a side effect of dopaminergic drugs at higher doses.
