What is Dipyridamole?

Dipyridamole is a vasodilator and antiplatelet agent. It is given by mouth with the anticlotting medication, warfarin, to decrease clotting after artificial heart valve replacement. It is used intravenously (IV) when diagnosing coronary artery disease.
