What is Butenafine?

Butenafine is an antifungal medication that is available in a cream forumlation as hydrochloride. It is used for tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), and tinea versicolor. Lotrimin® Ultra™ is available as OTC while Mentax® is prescribed.
