What is Alprostadil?

Alprostadil is a vasodilator that is used to treat certain types of erectile dysfunction (impotence; inability to get or keep an erection) in men. It is also used as a temporary maintenance of patency of ductus arteriosus in neonates with ductal-dependent congenital heart disease.
