Generic Name: Acyclovir
Acyclovir is a type of medicine called an antiviral. Antivirals kill viruses or stop viruses from multiplying. Acyclovir is used to treat herpesvirus infections spread by direct skin-to-skin contact. Acyclovir will not cure herpes infections.
